The Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation

Hong Kong Island Flag Day 2024

Stepping into its 65 years of services, HKSR is the longest-standing charity in Hong Kong that specializes in rehabilitation. With generous support from stakeholders, we can now provide all-round services for persons in need, ranging from rehabilitation, health management, accessible transport and travel, supported employment and elderly care services, to allow persons with disabilities and chronic illnesses to restore their potentials and participate in the community, living a fulfilling life with dignity.

HKSR will host our Flag Day on 6 July 2024 in the Hong Kong Island. Proceeds raised will be used towards the HKSR rehabilitation and social welfare services supporting people with disabilities, chronic illnesses, and elderly in need. Flag Day this year is intended to raise awareness on the importance of rehabilitation while promoting the message of inclusion in the community between individuals with and without disabilities.

Heartfelt appreciation in supporting HKSR Flag Day 2024!

Event Theme

Come and meet our six “Barrier Busters” of the HKSR!

Our six “Barrier Busters” signify people with different degree of disabilities in our society. They may face limitations and challenges in their daily lives as well as in their process of rehabilitation. Yet, with appropriate rehabilitation services and most importantly social support, they can and have the ability to restore their potentials and participate in the community and live a fulfilling life with dignity.

Led by Captain Phoenix who is the icon of HKSR, theme of our Flag Day this year is “Stand Together” for our “Barrier Busters “, namely Ringo, Wavey, Yolo, Zooomba, Dex and Cloaky who represent different degree of disabilities. Together, we aim at bringing everyone to understand needs of people with disabilities while disseminating the importance of an inclusive environment for the abled and the disabled.

Sincerely calling for your support to “stand together” for a vision of inclusion!
