Established in 1959, the Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation has been promoting holistic rehabilitation for persons with disabilities. Against the backdrop of an ageing population and increasing prevalence of chronic illnesses, we have expanded our services to persons with chronic illnesses and the elderly.

In 2017-18, the Society had 30 service units in Hong Kong and Mainland. The annual attendance grew and exceeded 1.55 million, among them were patronizing more than 1.1 million accessible transport passenger trips. More than 11,500 persons with chronic illnesses were new users in community-based rehabilitation, vocational and health self-management service.
