The Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation

Hong Kong Island Flag Day 2026

Since its establishment in 1959, The Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation has been providing high-quality rehabilitation services for persons with disabilities, people with chronic illnesses, and the elderly. The Society has over 30 service units across Hong Kong and the Mainland China, serving over 1.7 million people annually. We now provide all-round services for persons in need, ranging from rehabilitation, health management, accessible transport and travel, supported employment and elderly care services, to allow persons with disabilities and chronic illnesses to restore their potentials and participate in the community, living a fulfilling life with dignity.

We need you to support HKSR Flag Day!

Your participation is their strongest support:

Become Volunteer — stand alongside us and spread warmth through action
Set up an “Online Flag Bag — let your kindness gently reach us and support the journey
Gold Flag Donation — bring a blessing home and let love carry on
Share this message — let more people see it and take this inclusive journey further

The small step you take today will pave a path where everyone can walk side by side.

One Small Step Towards an Inclusive Society

Everyone has the right to pursue their dreams.
Led by Captain Phoenix, the “Barrier Busters” want you to know: physical limitations can never stop the determination to chase your dreams! With your support by their side, a fulfilling life is within everyone’s reach.

But they can’t do it alone.
On June 13th, join The Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation’s Flag Day. We need you!

Promoting accessible mobility – Breaking barriers, making travel independent
Facilitating employment for persons with disabilities – Letting abilities speak for themselves
Focusing on holistic health – Caring for both caregivers and those they support
Fostering an inclusive society – Building a community where everyone is equal and mutual respect thrives!

Come and meet our six “Barrier Busters” of the HKSR, namely Ringo, Wavey, Yolo, Zooomba, Dex and Cloaky !
They represent people with diverse abilities. Though they face challenges in daily life and rehabilitation, with the right services and social support, they can restore their potential, participate in the community, and live with dignity.

Led by Captain Phoenix, this year’s Flag Day theme – “One Small Step Towards an Inclusive Society” – calls on all of us to better understand the needs of persons with disabilities and embrace the vision of a truly inclusive community.

Walking together is simple!

The small step you take today will pave the way for countless individuals on their rehabilitation journey.
Join us in turning inclusion from a slogan into everyday reality.
