Introduction to Patient Mutual Support Centre

We believe that helping others is the best means of helping yourself. We can change the world by strengthening our mutual aid networks and building an inclusive society.

The Patient Mutual Support Centre is located in the Wang Tau Hom Centre of CRN and aims at supporting self-help organizations and mutual aid groups, so that they can perform well in promoting mutual aid among their members and to advocate for patient rights.

Services Content

  1. To support persons with chronic diseases in formulating mutual aid groups or self-help organizations.
  2. To provide training for core members of the self-help organizations and mutual aid groups so that they can perform well in their role.
  3. To provide consultancy services for the self-help organizations in resolving their problems.
  4. To develop a platform for self-help organizations to exchange and provide mutual support.
  5. To develop a platform for self-help organizations to consolidate their power for social policy advocacy.
  6. To co-organize with self-help organizations, public education projects that advocate for an inclusive society.
  7. To promote the study on self-help so that the social function of self help organizations can be demonstrated and the government will provide more support for the development of self-help organizations.
  8. To promote among the social service sector the application of the self-help approach.
