We had organized Regional Meetings in 2009 and 2013, which were attended by representatives from WHO Head Offices in Geneva, Manila, Regional office, Japan, Mainland China, Philippines, Korea and Singapore. The objectives for the meetings were to update on recent work and achievements of the WHO CC in the region and to consider opportunities to strengthen collaboration.

In order to develop appropriately trained human resources for wheelchair provision and improve wheelchair delivery systems, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) have developed a comprehensive Wheelchair Service Training Package (Basic Level) in 2012.

With the support of the Disability and Rehabilitation Office (DAR) of WHO and the DAR Technical Officer of Western Pacific Regional Office (WPRO), we have been commissioned to offer courses of utilising training package in Hong Kong. Our certified trainers were being invited to teach in Beijing and Lao in 2014 to share their knowledge and skills.
