Our commission was renewed in 2012 for the sixth time, with terms of reference to support WHO’s disability and rehabilitation programmes through training and information dissemination. While our resources are focused in China, we have also an extensive and strong network in the Asia-Pacific region. HKSR is the only NGO in Hong Kong being designated by WHO as Collaboration Centre (CC), with the most unique and extensive rehabilitation network in Mainland China, as compared to other NGOs. Over the years, HKSR has been receiving increasing requests for admissions to our courses and assistance to initiate or enhance rehabilitation programmes. The training need is immense.
