Civic education for children plays an important role in social integration. The Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation collaborates with the Society for the Relief of Disabled Children to produce the famous puppet show "The Kids On the Block" which was developed in the US. "The Kids on the Block" is performed in different schools and organizations regularly to convey to children the message of social integration as well as a general knowledge of chronic illness and disability.
